Omkar brings over a decade of experience spanning trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents. He brings a rare combination of legal precision and commercial acuity to IP strategy, enabling clients across industries to protect innovation, assert brand rights, and extract lasting value from their intangible assets.
As Head of the IPR Practice at LegaLogic Consulting, Omkar leads the firm's full spectrum of IP engagements — from trademark prosecution and enforcement strategy to portfolio management and advisory work. He counsels clients on building defensible IP positions, navigating competitive markets, and aligning intellectual property with broader business objectives.
Omkar's practice encompasses the filing and management of trademark, copyright, and design applications before Indian authorities, as well as coordination of international filings. He regularly advises on trademark registry objections and third-party oppositions, and represents clients in contested hearings before the Trademark Registry. His contentious work includes domain name dispute resolution before WIPO, cease and desist actions, IP due diligence for transactions, and brand risk assessments. He also advises on IP compliance, brand clearance searches, and the commercial exploitation and licensing of IP assets — ensuring a holistic approach that spans both protection and monetisation.
Omkar served as Legal Advisor at Axar Digital Services Pvt. Ltd., providing in-house counsel on contractual and IP matters for a technology-driven enterprise. Earlier in his career, he trained under CS Dr. K. R. Chandratre, gaining foundational exposure to corporate law and regulatory practice.
Omkar is an established speaker and trainer on intellectual property law. He has delivered seminars and guest lectures on Protecting Intellectual Property Rights in India and Abroad at institutions including the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), Nowrosjee Wadia College, Symbiosis, and Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology (Kashibai Navale Group).
